Every bookworm and book hoarder’s problem is that our to-be-read pile never seems to end. What’s more, we keep adding to these piles and then lament that we have nothing to read. Is it our fault? Absolutely not! Is it anybody else’s fault? Absolutely not! It’s just fate. Destiny. It’s written in the stars. That’s all.
So it is with this “knowledge” that I list out all the 470+ books on my TBR in this post. Hope you like it!
“If history bothered to document our stories, there wouldn’t be enough paper in the world to bear witness to all the women who’ve been imprisoned because our emotions proved too inconvenient for men to handle and too terrifying for them to ignore.”
I wrote this article a long time ago, when I was battling other issues. And I now wonder how time works. At every point in time, issues differ and our reactions to them differ. But we’re always battling something. Constantly. The rays of the sun slanted down on the road that extended towards the farContinue reading “Fly Away…”
I have the habit of sitting at the Starbucks closest to home for two reasons: amazing coffee, and decent Wi-Fi. This is gross, but fountains of spit, of gutkha, of phlegm make their way to the tar on the main roads and it’s grinding my gears like none other! For God’s sake, just control yourselves!
It is unfair to expect that everyone in the world behaves the same way. It is also unfair to expect human beings not to make mistakes. But there is nothing that can actually beat the hypocrisy and the lack of basic common sense that millions of people seem to be afflicted with. While you calmly sit back and look at it from the outside, it is when these qualities touch you that you wonder: Why is the world filled with such idiocy?
This book would probably have killed me by giving me high blood pressure. I was so pissed off with each page I turned that it took me all my strength and energy to not throw the book across the room. And I was reading it on the Kindle app on my laptop, so I know that that was a good decision.
